BLUE TEAM w ROCKINGHAM

Nasza drużyna Blue Team w składzie : Emilia Burczy z klasy 8c, Piotr Hanulok, Bartłomiej Kurowski i Jakub Krysiński z klasy 8d wróciła właśnie z międzynarodowych zawodów samochodów elektrycznych Greenpower Finals 2018 w Rockingham w Anglii. Razem z nami w kategorii F24 startowali koledzy z Irlandii Północnej i Hiszpanii, z którymi realizujemy projekt w ramach Erasmus +. Wszystkie trzy drużyny ukończyły wyścig w swojej kategorii. Dla nas i zespołu z Hiszpanii był to pierwszy start w międzynarodowym wyścigu. Udział w wyścigu tej klasy to ogromne przeżycie i wyzwanie.

Derrick Willer, reprezentujący jednego z krajowych sponsorów GreenTower, IET, był pod dużym wrażeniem wszystkich drużyn w weekend finałowy i poprosił  o przekazanie tej osobistej wiadomości poniżej.   

  Dear All,

 I was delighted to meet all the teams today and I want to congratulate all involved.

 Each of the pupils and students have worked hard to gain a place, I congratulate all of you.

 Everyone has devoted time and effort above the normal curriculum, giving that extra "above and beyond the call of duty" will ensure that "the world will be your oyster".

 Everyone has learnt how to work in teams, essential for your future life and in both industry and commerce, and also to solve problems, devise, evaluate and make improvements.

 In my mind everyone is a winner. Thank you all for taking part in this exciting contest. I wish you all hard work and successful exam results.

 May I also thank the teachers, ambassadors and supporters. All have given that extra time which ensures success. All of them deserve a very big thank you.

 Finally I want to thank Greenpower and their staff and supporters who have given up hours of their time to create a fantastic competition.
